Welcome back to the Thai Island & Coastal Directory, a book-in-progress that promises to be the most complete guide to coastal Thailand ever written in English, covering more than 800 islands. For info on how to use the T.I.C.D. and a working Table of Contents, paddle over here. Thank you for reading!

T.I.C.D. ticker: So far, we’ve covered 342 islands and 68 notable mainland areas in 22 sections, including this one.

Resuming Chonburi province…

Chonburi’s northern and central island clusters draw the bulk of island-going travelers who visit the province. Keep in mind, though, that Ko Si Chang is totally different from Ko Larn, and undeveloped Mu Ko Phai again presents an experience that contrasts both Si Chang and Larn. Throw in Ko Khram and Mu Ko Samae San, and Chonburi has a solid week’s worth of islands to explore.

Vying with Ko Samet over in Rayong province for the attention of travelers who have limited time for an island jaunt out of Bangkok, Ko Si Chang and Ko Larn are the only islands in Chonburi province with overnight lodgings.

Islands below are arranged roughly from N to S.
