After creating years of envy among foreign readers stuck in the developed world, now you have turned the tables and made me envy you wandering with a dog in the temperate woodlands of the NorthEast US. My childhood was gloriously spent in those woods all four seasons. You lucky devil you! Keep up the Good work! - Michael J Setter - OutBox.substack.com
Thank you for your words and update on where you are and what you are up to. I think the honesty you express is important for all of us who have survived (and still suriving) this pandemic. It is not easy. It is not short. But we will make it with writers like you helping us. Thank you again.
Stupendous and moving. On an island in Taiwan, and after staving off Covid for 2 years a wave is washing over us. But even in these past two years most people haven't been able to leave Taiwan (or at least not easily and with a lot of hoops to jump through, not to mention 2 weeks of quarantine upon return), and I sorely missed Southeast Asia. With Covid spreading, I'm growing a jungle on my balcony, creating my own island in my apartment. So well done. Can't wait till you get back at it in Thailand!
Thanks infinitely for touching base with us all. Though Covid and it's mental/physical effects have buffeted all of us around one way or another, your descriptive faculties are as crystal clear as ever. There's absolutely nothing wrong with pressing the"pause" button and following your heart to whichever place in whatever country feels the safest and most nurturing
Thanks for letting us all know you're OK and muddling through as best you can like we all are. I look forward to your return whenever that might be. Big hugs and love
You’ve been spectacular in all you’ve done for us… thank you- you’re truly a special farang for us giving your heart and soul for a country that feels like home for so many- thank you for showing us some cool ass new places to explore! I’ll follow you forever.
David after business trip to BKK in July want to see some quiet island: lazy beach, a bit of local life and food, means nearby village, NOT hotel food. Used to frequent Ko Chang. Anything similar? Ko Lipe? Also curious about Hua Hin, but probably too city'ish??

Nothing beats a walk in the woods when it comes to restorative energy! Enjoy.
