Mainland capes: The most notable and extraordinary in Thailand (Part I)
Islands get most of the attention, but Thailand has some fabulous capes as well.

There’s no question that Thailand’s capes play second fiddle to its islands. Yet several of the mainland capes can be loads of fun to explore, particularly if you enjoy venturing away from the more popular beach spots.
Representing all seven of Thailand’s coastal zones, I’ve selected 12 mainland capes to share with you. This post starts with four, and a couple of additional posts after this will each spotlight another four of the capes until this category is complete. The title of which is the best mainland cape in Thailand is subjective, of course, but I will hold my favorites until the end so that the last one featured at the end of the last post in this category will be, in my opinion, the top-ranking cape.
Once this category is finished, I’ll combine all three of the posts into one lengthier article and add a link to it on the welcome page and in a new “extraordinary spots” section on the homepage menu bar. This same formula will unroll as I gradually dive into other categories that encompass what I’ve found to be the most special and spectacular spots from the country’s coasts and islands.
