Welcome back to the Thai Island & Coastal Directory, a book-in-progress that promises to be the most complete guide to coastal Thailand ever written in English, covering more than 800 islands. For info on how to use the T.I.C.D. and a working Table of Contents, paddle over here. Thank you for reading!
Resuming Trang province…
Trang hides another fabulous string of islands in its far south — so far in fact that many of these islands are due west of Satun provincial shores. Travelers who make the effort to reach Mu Ko Phetra will find some tremendously beautiful islands, while nearby Ko Sukorn is about as quiet and tranquil as they come.
Nearby Mu Ko Adang and other isles of Mu Ko Tarutao National Park down in Satun province capture most of the attention of island-loving travelers in this part of Thailand, but, let me tell you, some of Mu Ko Phetra’s scenery can hold a candle to any islands anywhere in the country. Still, few people go to them.
Islands below are arranged roughly from N to S.
